Measles Outbreaks in 2025: What Employers + Event Organizers Need to Know

This year, the U.S. has experienced its highest annual measles case count since 1992. As of August 5, 2025, the CDC confirmed 1,356 measles cases across 41 jurisdictions. The majority of cases (92%) were in people who were unvaccinated or had unknown vaccination status.

Texas was at the epicenter, recording 762 cases and two deaths of otherwise healthy, unvaccinated children.
