IHP Physician Spotlight - Dr. Butterfield

Burton Butterfield, M.D.

InHouse Physicians would like to introduce Dr. Burton Butterfield, M.D. Though he started his practice in Los Angeles, he practices medicine in Bermuda where he has resided since 1984. He notes it is a wonderful, though expensive place to live. He is a member of the National Medical Association as well as the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has extensive Medical Training which includes education at Universities in Montreal, Los Angeles, and Liverpool. He has served on various boards including the Bermuda Health Council and the Bermuda Hospitals Board.

He enjoys tennis, golf and photography. He has a keen interest in travel and his last major trip was to South Africa, where he would like to return. He plans to travel more extensively after retirement. He has two daughters, both in universities overseas.
